Russ Marshall
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1931, Russ Marshall was raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He received a B.A. degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College. After a tour of duty in Korea, he enrolled in the Fine Arts Graduate School at the University of Georgia and taught extension courses at the University of Georgia in Gainesville. He was then an instructor and head of the Department for many years at Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia. For some years thereafter, he shared his time between the family business and his passion of the arts. Since 1988, he has devoted himself to two interests: gardening and painting. Russ Marshall is an established artist and his works can be found in many private and public collections such as the International Rotary House in London, UK, and the University of South Carolina, etc.
