An active, internationally respected painter and sculptor for a number of years, born in August, 1960, Raffi’s childhood interest in art showed great promise while he was growing up in Armenia.

In the fifth grade, he began formal art training and study. During his youth, his works were submitted to numerous children’s art contests and exhibitions.

Upon graduation from high school in 1978, Raffi was accepted to the prestigious Yerevan University of Fine Arts in Armenia.

Raffi’s talents continued to blossom, and in 1980, his work was judged as the best among all the university students in Armenia. In 1981, his work was awarded second place among university students in Moscow.

In 1983, his Bachelor of Arts degree was conferred, and he was immediately accepted as an art instructor at a fine arts college in Armenia, and concurrently, at a high school, where he taught for four years. In the five years that followed, his work was displayed at shows and exhibitions in Moscow, Leningrad and Armenia.

In 1988, Raffi and his family moved to America and settled in California.

In just three short years, since renewing a full-time commitment to his art, Raffi’s work has attracted the interest of prestigious galleries and corporations, including Jezzard Gallery, Art Affair and Gallery Michelangelo, all of Las Vegas, Art Alive in Arizona, and Pearson Design in Los Angeles. The ABC and CBS television networks have also acquired his works.
